Reviews of The Roost
"This is a great place to use as a base for visiting nearby Salisbury, Winchester, the New Forest, Portsmouth, Chawton etc. We easily filled a week sightseeing and the Test Valley is beautiful. The apartment is immaculate and has everything you need in a kitchen if you don't want to eat in any of the local pubs. It's a real home from home. Lots of local information is provided and very useful OS maps are available to borrow. The mobile phone signal was hit and miss but a brief walk up the lane sorted this - not having a signal was actually quite nice! There is great WiFi though. The wine and biscuits on arrival were very welcome and greatly appreciated."

"We particularly liked the standard of the property, the quirkiness of its location, and the joy of waking up in the morning and hearing only birdsong! The standard of the property completely exceeded our expectations for the price we paid and the detail in which the owners had fitted out the accommodation has to be applauded - a real home from home from the moment we entered the property. I had not noticed any tourist board rating when I booked but I would certainly rate it 5 star. The most relaxing holiday I can remember in all my years. A huge thank you."

"The accommodation was really lovely, warm and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Although in the countryside, we were very central for access to both Salisbury, Southampton and places of interest. We both really enjoyed our break and felt well rested afterwards despite all the sight seeing we managed to fit in."
