Reviews of Bramley Nook

"first impressions where excellent, spacious clean and tidy, the owners Mr Mrs Herrington are very nice, you couldn't ask for better. do not disturb you but there if you need them. The outside is very dog safe as our border collie found out, as we just left the door open to wander about. There is a quiet friendly pub serving good reasonably priced food approx., 50yards next door. Burley with its ponies and other wild life is not to far away. Bramley Nook is the ideal spot for many areas of the New Forest to visit. unfortunately we had to cut our visit short due to personal reasons but we will go back;;. to good not to;;"

"Pleasant comfortable cottage. Made very welcome by owner. Comfortable beds. My little Bichon Frise made herself at home straightaway and was fascinated by the chickens ! Lovely meals at Compasses almost next door which was very dog friendly. Fordingbridge is a lovely little town and The George is ideally situated on the river for an outdoor drink or dinner."

"This is such a lovely village with amazing countryside. The cottage is ideal and has everything you need for a stay. A fully equipped kitchen including a washing machine, a little yard you can sit in and it's very peaceful. The pub down the road is very friendly and welcoming and the staff can't do enough for you. We only stayed two nights but will definitely be back for a longer stay in future and have friends who are booking already. One tip - take a torch if you have a dog and need to walk it in the evening, the street isn't well lit."

The chickens they kept were amusing to watch in the garden. The pub was only next door and was very friendly even with the dog serving meals lunch time and evenings"

"The village may be small and so you may expect it to be quiet but the road is right outside the bedroom window and is very busy at certain times of the day. The owners have tried to make the 'annexe' appear rustic with 'beams' but all they've done is removed the plasterboard from the ceiling which means that every single footstep they take when in their part of the house (upstairs), day and night, is loud and makes the floorboards creak. We left early as we had had so little sleep."

"The cottage is in a quiet area in small village surroundings, it was lovely, making the holiday very restful. A drive to the coast and into the forest is necessary before you can enjoy tourist attractions, but the drive is one to enjoy. The hosts are a lovely couple and the cottage is a home from home."
