Marple Bridge is on the edge of the Peak District and is also close to the city of Manchester. It offers three pubs serving food, a coffee shop and a bakery. The Roman Lakes are popular with fishermen, walkers, cyclists and horse-riders. Outdoor lovers can also explore the Peak District with its wealth of paths and trails along with a number of fascinating towns and villages. The city of Manchester is superb for fine shopping, wining and dining.

"What a beautiful cottage, everything you need for a relaxing stay away from home. The owners really have gone out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. For us there was only one negative, parking was an issue. We were unable to park outside for the whole week and there were not many places to park."
