Reviews of The Henhouse
"We were really looking forward to our first Cotswolds holiday staying at 'The Henhouse', our hopes were high it being ideally located, having a 5 rating and rental price to match. Our mood however changed within minutes after our arrival! A quick tour of the cottage revealed that internally it fell well short of our expectations, so much so that we decided to abandon the holiday and return home immediately. Our key points + Beware - the entrance gate and approach driveway were too narrow for our full SUV (X5) to safely negotiate in daylight, dread to think what it would be like at night! + Lounge - sofa, chairs, floor coverings and curtains all old, tired and shabby. Basic TV service. + Kitchen - fully equipped with basic appliances. Oven was very dirty internally with burnt food deposits and dirty glass door. Tiled floor not cleaned properly. + Bathrooms satisfactory. +Overall worthy of 2/3 rating at best."

"Stayed here for a week and was very good base for visiting Cotswolds. Pros - Comfortable accommodation. Lots of reading material, comfy beds, adequate parking, good kitchen and facilities. Just a few things that need attention. Cons - More coat hangers in the wardrobes, the toilet brushes are disgusting and need replacing, they don't cost that much. There is a smell in the boiler/utility room which we were worried could be carbon monoxide, there is no monitor in there and recommend they purchase one to check those fumes. Overall a good place to stay for visiting the Cotswolds. "
