Reviews of Tick Tock Cottage

"Fantastic! Ok you want more details...... Great furnishings (not your average sofas!), comfy beds, crisp linen, wood burning stove, heated floors, powerful showers, tranquil setting, washing machine and dryer, every kitchen implement you might desire (even a choice of lemon squeezers!) and a DAB radio! This place is several places above the normal high standards of rental properties and we were very impressed. Two lovely hounds are resident at the B & B next door and are happy to be offered 'treats', which was great for us. The village shop is one minutes walk away in one direction and the pub another minute in the other direction.....what more can one want? A welcome package awaited our arrival as did some fresh milk, a few food basics/herbs etc in the cupboards and a cake to eat with our first cuppa. Yup we'll be back......it's also amazing what you can see within a 40 mile radius of Marnhull....including the Haynes motor museum in Sparkford which was a joy to visit."

"Tick Tock Cottage is a beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. The owners have made the decision to refurbish the cottage to an extremely high standard with 'top end' fixtures and fittings and all areas were well-equipped, with many little touches to make our stay even better. The bathrooms were superb, with wonderful showers. We were greeted with a small hospitality basket which included home made preserves and a delicious cake. The owners were friendly and helpful, even leaving us a bag of apples from the trees which we cooked for our supper and ate with some clotted cream from the shop only a few meters away. The stairs are quite steep, but the provision of strong handrails at every point kept any dangers at bay. There is space for one car immediately in front of the cottage and another round the back of the property. We would happily recommend this cottage and wish the owners every good fortune with their new venture."

"The property is in a perfect location and beautifully appointed allowing for a relaxing vacation. The quality of finishes and complimentary design allow for an ambiance that is exceptional. It sits within the center of the village of Marnhull within the Blackmore Vale......easy walking distance to the amenities including village shop and the local free house. As a center for rambling across the Blackmore Vale (Tess of the Durbevilles country) it is to be highly recommended!"
