The thriving village of Motcombe lies on the edge of North Dorset's Blackmore Vale, just 2 miles from the ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury. Motcombe boasts its own friendly community store and Post Office, with a country pub close by. The local town of Shaftesbury, well served by a good range of shops and inns, is perched on a spur of rolling green hills with spectacular views reaching far across the rural landscape. One of the best vantage points is from Gold Hill (the famous ‘Hovis' advert was filmed here) with its quaint, cobbled and very steep street. Nearby, a drive through the picturesque Blackmore Vale, dotted with pretty villages, offers visitors a flavour of the very best of the English countryside. A treat not to be missed!

"The house is larger than it looks on the website with more than enough room for 5 people comfortably. All the essentials are provided including a full spice rack and fresh eggs each day. The hosts are a lovely couple there to help with anything but aren't obtrusive."
