Welcome to The Old Tack Room. The Old Tack Room has been created from a former tack room (unsurprisingly!) which adjoins the owner's house, and is now a delightful single storey holiday retreat.
Accommodation
All ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Shower room with extra large shower (off sitting area). Cloakroom with basin and WC (off hallway). Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with patio doors to private garden.
Location
Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the grounds of their equestrian enterprise in the peaceful village of Ibberton, this charming holiday cottage is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard, with beautiful views towards Bulbarrow Hill to the rear, which is one of Dorset's highest points. The accommodation includes two bedrooms and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining, and sitting area, and patio doors which open out on to the pretty and private garden. The scenic Ridgeway Trail passes close to the cottage.
Ibberton is an attractive little village in splendid North Dorset, which nestles under the ridge of Bulbarrow Hill, within the Blackmore, a short distance from Blandford Forum. The countryside of the area inspired Thomas Hardy (who wrote 'Return of The Native' in neighbouring Sturminster Newton) and is now a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offering glorious walks and wildlife spotting. Attractions including Stourhead House and Gardens, the Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury, the impressive abbey and castles at Sherborne, and the lively market town of Dorchester are all a short drive away. Venture a little further afield and you'll discover the Cathedral city of Salisbury, and the bustling seaside resorts of Bournemouth and Weymouth for sun, sea and sand.
Explore the fossils and stunning beaches of Dorset's Jurassic Coast, visit historic Sherborne and Shaftesbury, or enjoy the footpaths, country lanes and thatched-roof pubs Dorset offers.

The weather was not very kind and there was plenty of mud underfoot but we went to the Haynes Museum and the Fleet Air Arm Museum both of which were worth a trip. Every fascility that I can think of was in the cottage and a very high standard of furnishing and equipment plus wine and flowers on arrival. I would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage as a centre to tour Dorset"
