Towels are not provided. Travel cot for children under the age of two (please bring your own linens) and highchair available. Ample off-road parking. Gravelled front garden and rear lawn with furniture and bike storage. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4.3 miles, 0.4 miles. Note: Please enquire if wishing to bring more than two pets. Note: There is a river next to the property. Note: Building work is currently being carried out nearby, however this is likely to provide little disturbance

Location

Irt Cottage is a glorious detached cottage sitting on the outskirts of Gosforth in the Lake District National Park. There are three bedrooms including two doubles and a twin room, sleeping a total of six people. There is also a ground-floor shower room, bathroom, kitchen/diner, utility, dining room, sitting room with a woodburning stove and a snug. Outside find an enclosed gravelled area to the front and a large lawn to the rear with furniture, as well as storage and ample off-road parking. Irt Cottage is a wonderful base for a family or group of friends to explore the excitement of Cumbria.

Gosforth is a modest village resting within the Lakeland countryside in Cumbria. The traditional village is home not only to the tallest and oldest Viking Cross in England, but also provides a local shop and a pub for all of your self-catering requirements. Nearby you can find the highest peak in England; Scafell, as well as Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell, providing ample walking routes and plenty of adventure, alongside the coastal excitement of Seascale being within easy reach.
