It can sleep up to five people in three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a single with a family bathroom. On the ground floor a conservatory, sitting room with wood burning stove, a dining room and a kitchen with utility room and pantry. Uphill Cottage is peacefully located in a lovely spot, ideal for families to explore this dramatic stretch of coastline at any time of the year.

St Merryn is a typical Cornish village, located within two miles of the coast and close to the picturesque harbour and fishing port of Padstow. Surrounded by some of Cornwall's best surfing beaches and golf courses, St Merryn is a holidaymakers dream, offering two pubs, three restaurants, a chinese takeaway, a chip shop, mini markets and a Post Office, yet St Merryn remains within easy reach of the area's visitor attractions. The vibrant town of Newquay is eleven miles down the road, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Newquay also offers good shopping, a zoo, a Sea Life centre and a variety of nightspots, clubs, pubs and restaurants. Set back from the main holiday crowds, St Merryn is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area at your leisure.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

"What a lovely cottage, cannot praise this place enough. A totally home away from home. Seven beaches all within a short drive away. Nearest beach just five minutes away. Lots of mod cons in the cottage. The owners include some welcoming extras including a bottle of wine. Plenty of room for our dog. We have just booked too return next year."

"We had a great time at Uphill Cottage. The cottage was quaint and cosy but full of mod cons to make our stay very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful, suggesting various local places to visit, giving us a welcoming bottle of wine, fresh vegetables and milk on arrival. The cottage was practical for our dog and there was room in the sunroom and utility room to keep all the walking and dog stuff. The hamlet of Penrose was quiet and restful and located only five minutes drive from Porthcothan Beach which is a truly wonderful sight on a fine day, especially when the tide is out. There were lots of places to visit nearby, including Tintagel Castle, Bodmin and Wenn Steam Railway and Padstow. I highly recommend this cottage and the surrounding area."
