Shop and pub 3 mins walk. Note: The beach is dog friendly but they must be kept on a lead in certain areas of the beach during 9am and 5pm in July and August.

Perranporth lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham, who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. There are plenty of pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit and further afield are the miles of beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay.
