Reviews of Skiber Goth

"We arrived and found on the dining table some scones, and in the fridge was a pint of milk and a tub of clotted cream, Fantastic thought after a 4.5 hr journey! It had everything you could need, fully stocked kitchen, including washing machine. My wife and I took our 5 month old boy, and there was plenty of room for him to kick around on the floor, and to set up his travel cot in the smaller bedroom. Only downsides, no phone signal (o2 and Virgin), but having stayed in many a rural Cornwall cottage this is not unusual, and also the internet was really quite slow, but again, same as phone signal, not surprising for the place of the world. We didn't take our dog, but if we came again we would, as there were bowls for them, and a grazing field next door, and Boris the very friendly Labrador. Overall, a beautifully finished quaint place to stay, which is perfect for exploring the whole of Cornwall with its central location."

"This property was a good base, for all the sites in Cornwall we wanted to visit. It was very secluded and quiet, in a lovely location and was well appointed. Good value for money. This property is comfortable and suitable for long stays and we would be happy to recommend this property to family & friends and to stay there again."

"Whilst the cottage was well presented and accompanied by a welcome gift of scones, jam and clotted cream I found it all a bit too cramped. Anyone who is over 6ft will struggle to get comfortable in this place, the bed was too small, my head touched the ceiling in the shower and it was impossible to sit in either the living room chairs of sofa comfortably. It's also a bit risky cooking whilst having young children as they have to squeeze between the dining table and the oven/hob whenever they want to move between the lounge/kitchen to the bedroom or bathroom. It was a great location for exploring Cornwall however the initial directions need improvement. Be mindful that there is livestock in the vicinity which will result in a lot of flies, particularly in summer and the guest book contains some comments regarding this. I would not recommend this cottage for four adults."

"We arrived earlier than the check in time as we drove through the night but luckily the owners opened up the cottage early for us. We were tired and very grateful having travelled from Leeds. The cottage was clean, modern, no expense spared on all of the fittings and fixtures and had everything we could have wished for. The stay included all the heating and had fresh towels, bedding, wifi, dishwasher, dryer, washer, microwave and even board games. It was comfortable and enjoyable and hope to return. The owners were also very lovely. I would highly recommend to anyone."

"Had a lovely autumn break in this excellent converted barn, set in quiet Cornish countryside. Yet only 30 minutes drive away from the busy city of Plymouth, several beautiful beaches; coves or Bodmin Moor. "
