Reviews of Peacehaven

"Looked absolutely lovely in the photos, but very misleading. Cottage very damp, I suffer with asthma & struggled all week. Beds, chairs, sofa so uncomfortable & far too big for that little room. Water only ever warm, shower was adequate though. Couldn't get heating on at all, used the oil filled radiator in the cupboard, very chilly/damp at night. Needs some serious TLC. Entrance to Rosecraddock is diabolical, so dandergous pulling out from the site, definitely needs a huge mirror across the road so you can see whats coming from the left around that narrow country lane, had some hair raising escapes. On the plus side, site keot very nice, clean & tidy. The Village Inn is supurb, the food fabulous, prices very reasonable. Peacehaven cottage has no visitors book & can now understand why. Surrounding area's outstanding."

"Place was very damp indeed and was in a very poor state - the toilet floor was absolutely covered in mould. The wardrobes were damp and your clothes smelt of mould when we took them out. The bed was very uncomfortable and the legs of the bed were covered in padding to protect your shins. The hot water was hit and miss and the bath had to be filled using the shower hose to get any hot water. In addition Sykes Cottages are a very poor company to deal with - just go on Facebook to see how fed up people are. Their star ratings are only based on positive reviews thus giving a misleading score."

"A lovely place to stay, everything that we needed for our holiday was provided. It was a very quiet and peaceful place so you can really relax and enjoy your holiday. It is within easy reach of places in both Cornwall and Devon. We will be going again."
