Reviews of Merryfield Lodge

"The cottage is small but very tidy and comfortable. The owners kindly even provided a few basic supplies just in case we arrived late, and provided bowls for our dog, too (we had our own, but the small kindnesses were all very well received). Four of us ended up staying instead of the expected three, but even then the hot water supply was enough apart from once or twice, when just a brief 'boost' of the system was enough to get hot water quickly. If you're cooking pasta or potatoes for four, you might want to bring your favourite big pot, but otherside the kitchen is well-equipped. Also, other reviewers on the official Sykes website (I can't seem to use it for some reason) mention lack of Wifi and, unfortunately, I can confirm we had no Wifi at all. Those were the only drawbacks, really, and my wife and I are already seriously thinking of returning - the spot is really good for touring and very quiet during school terms."

"We stayed her as a last minute break in July 2017. The park the lodge is on was very quiet and the pub on site is nice they do meals but we did not eat there. Merryfield lodge is very well kept . it contains everything you will need from the well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. washer dryer, full cooker, microwave to plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. The beds and bed linen are very clean and comfortable and both bedrooms have a flatscreen colour tv. The bathroom was very clean with a bath and over bath powershower .Towels are also supplied. The lounge contains a large screen 4k tv and blueray player. The WiFi is usable but does slow down at times. Car parking on site was fine with one designated space were lodge and a overspill carpark park. You need to have a vehicle if you stay on Rosecraddoc but we would drive some days down to the park and ride in Liskeard and get the train .We went to Plymouth on the main line but you can also get the branch line to Looe .The main line also goes down to Penzance. Merryfield lodge is a very nice place to stay in a central location to travel to the main attractions in Cornwall. "
