From the Cornish, meaning 'Frog Pool', Polyphant is close to the convergence of the River Inny and Penpont Water and is surrounded by miles of stunning countryside. Cornwall is a very temperate region of the UK and the beaches are very popular for surfing and other water-sports. The beaches of the north coast are just 14 miles away and also bring you into close proximity to attractions such as the world-famous Eden Project and the Victorian discovery, the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A few miles west of Polyphant, you can take in the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor with its granite tors, walking opportunities and secluded moor-land villages. The Camel Route, a famous cycling and walking trail is just minutes from here.
Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

"The Old Granary was a fantastic little cottage. I went with my partner and two young children. They loved the giant garden and fish pond, and the kids toys available kept them occupied whist we enjoyed the sun loungers! The owners were great and welcoming, and provided all the necessary information and tourist leaflets. At night it was silent, and ensured a great night sleep. I would highly recommend this cottage, and I would definitely go back again."

"The Old Granary is one of 4 cottages in a courtyard annexed to the main farm building so help and advice are on tap. The cottage was nipping clean and a welcome of a traditional Cornish Cream tea made the long journey worthwhile. The garden is large and spacious with a beautiful pond and relaxing conservatory, ideal for relaxing on those balmy summer evenings looking out over the moors into the distance. My 5 month old puppy managed to behave himself and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the location with plenty of room for him to stretch his legs. The Old Granary is well equipped with everything you need for your stay and is an excellent base to travel to all of the sights and attractions North Cornwall has to offer. Situated about half a mile from the A30 it gives easy access to all major routes. The major town of Launceston is only a few miles away with all of the amenities You need. The information pack is comprehensive and detailed with tips and advice on the best places to visit, especially dog friendly pubs & beaches. I'll definitely be returning for my 2014 extended summer holiday."
