"A lovely peaceful and quiet place to stay. The bird life was amazing, especially the Great spotted woodpeckers that came every day for a feed."

"Stayed here mid January 2016 with wife, daughter and my mother. This was my second time here. Previous stay was almost 3 years previous. Cottage hasn't changed. It's still a lovely, comfortable relaxing location. Location is superb. This time (during winter) we didn't see as much activity on the farm. That may have been due to our travelling away early and returning late. Lovely to see the animals - reindeer this time and the piglets. I won't go into details on the accommodation as I covered it pretty well last time. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The log fire in the lounge room was put to good use. As the front door opens into the room, even with the draft stopper, the room needed the fire to get it warm. The initial supply of kindling lasted the full week but the logs went in a couple of days. The logs are not seasoned so they leaked resin on the hearth. Best to keep them in the log basket with the newspaper and kindling. The logs are an easy purchase from petrol station in Knutsford or from a larger supermarket - Tesco in Northwich for example. The cottage is on the flight part to / from Manchester airport. We did hear planes in the morning, but this wasn't a problem for us. Time to get up anyway. Watch out in winter on cold mornings. The flagstones leading to the front door were icy. There was salt in the little shed which was good. A few handfuls were thrown around to help with this. This is a good location to spend a week in Cheshire; within striking distance of Liverpool, Anthony Gormley statues at Crosby Beach, the shopping at Chester, Manchester and the tranquility of the wonderful Peak District. Not far from the M6 you can cover a lot of ground from here ... or you can sit and enjoy the farm."

"We enjoyed the countryside setting of the cottage. The views of the animals in the fields and the trees from the bedroom windows were great. It was nice to walk to Tatton Park House and gardens. We had a good time and would stay here again."

"We had a wonderful holiday at Tatton. The cottage was comfortable and well appointed. It is situated near the farm and it was lovely to look out at the animals in the fields. The mansion and gardens are five minutes walk away which is very convenient. The gardens are lovely and we were lucky to have good weather to see them. Every effort was made to guide us there and we had no problem finding the cottage. Everyone at Tatton was helpful and kind. Best of all, we had a free pass to go everywhere. Tatton is also near many other gardens. For example, we visited Chatsworth for the day. I would recommend the cottage for a wonderful holiday. Tatton is near Manchester airport so we were aware of planes passing overhead but they were not loud enough to bother us and they do not fly at night."

"This holiday was one of the best we have had. It was lovely to stay in Tatton Park, and to be able to look out on the fields and the animals every morning. Tatton is within reach of a number of famous gardens, and we went as far as Chatsworth over the Peak District. The Park and its surroundings are very relaxing. The cottage has everything required, we were very comfortable."

"the apartment was really pretty and clean and ideal location as short walk to the tatton park farm and the house, only concern was the instructions to find the house could have been clearer, but we eventually sorted it........ but really lovely break, and free access to tatton park so you could come and go and didn't have to do it all in one go."

"Imagine staying on a farm where you are well way from traffic sounds and the worst you have to deal with is some sheep bleating or ducks quacking. Cottage #2 is tucked away off the Ashley Road behind two security gates in a lovely farm setting. The farm is a public attraction which can get busy so take care when driving through. The approach to the cottage is from the rear where there is a wide gravel are for parking cars. It's is shared with the other cottage. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The front room had a log fire and radiators which warmed the cottage well. The kitchen was good enough and functional. Up the steep stairs there are three bedrooms. A queen, twin single and another single. The beds were firm and comfortable. Complimentary access to the farm is provided and it is well worth a visit. Agreed with other post. Mobile signal is poor here. I bought Internet access device and only managed to get signal from upstairs close to a window or downstairs close to same. It's the price of being out in the country and in a well built brick cottage I am afraid. It wasn't a problem for me. I have to say that during our stay we had some issues with the hot water boiler and central heating which took a while to fix. The management were superb and provided us with options to stay elsewhere which we declined because we were happy where we were. The heating and hot water were fixed ASAP and I was extremely happy with the Tatton Park teams efforts (especially Graham) in dealing with the issues. Will definitely return. Great place to stay."

"This is our second trip to Tatton Park. We stay in Cheshire to link up with family in Manchester and Dairy Cottage makes the perfect venue. The staff at the park are very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were given an admission pass to the various attractions on the park and can wander freely in the parkland, which is beautiful. This year we booked both Dairy Cottage 1 and 2 to accommodate our extended family."

"Excellent location, good bedrooms, well appointed kitchen. We found no internet access inside the cottage a real problem when here for a week. We would sit down by the gate on a hay bale with our laptop, when we could receive a signal!. (Just a nuisance when so far from home and also wanting to organise outings, bookings, opening times, prices and other travel etc). We simply assumed this facility would be available. Cell phone coverage is poor though upstairs in the cottage we were sometimes successful. The cottage is roomy. Walls are dirty and marked and some areas not that clean, I hated the mould growing through the drawer of the washing machine which I gave a jolly good clean as I did the kitchen walls around the rubbish area-the cottage will need good upkeep to last the distance. It's a treasure worth maintaining."
