"We chose Dark Ark as it was our 2nd wedding anniversary and was absolutely the perfect relaxing and quite week we were looking for. On arrival we were met by Martin & Sally who are 2 of the nicest people you could wish to meet...oh and Bear the family dog who greeted us with some loud barking...Bears way of saying "hello & welcome" who also joined Martin & Sally just for some immediate attention very friendly is Bear. We were there for the week and only heard him bark twice both times at us so dont be thinking that there is constant barking from him as it really isn't the case. Martin & Sally showed us to the cottage (Heaven) where all the information on hiw to use the Cooker,TV etc were all layed out but were still happy to show us very much a "nothing is to much trouble" couple and made us feel welcome from the start and throughout our stay. The surroundings matched everything else which was on the edge of The Delamere Forest peaceful & relaxing with stunning gardens . Lots of info of surrounding attractions such as Cheshire Oaks,Beeston Castle, Chester Zoo and many more which are all only short drives away. We used The Goshawk pub Saturday evening which is also recommended. So a massive Thank You to Martin,Sally & Bear for a lovely weeks break we shall definitely be returning "
